Landscaping and planting update

The planting programme for the solar park includes woodland, scrubland, screening, native hedgerows and meadows.

Landscaping works are progressing well and in line with the obligations set out in the Landscape and Biodiversity Management Plan for the solar park.

In January works to clear mud and plant shelterbelt, as well as mulching the ground, were underway right across the site including the bunded electrical compound.

Zones in the southern area (including zones K, L and M) have seen hedge planting and mulching works.

If you would like to read more about the species, height and maturity of the selected plants for the different areas of the site please take a look at the Landscape and Biodiversity Management Plan (link above). This document also specifies the maintenance activities scheduled for each type of landscaping for the next five years and beyond.
